Tanzmesse is the largest market for contemporary dance in Europe and an excellent event for networking and promoting dance artists, companies and works. Tanzmesse is held biennially in Dusseldorf, Germany. The next Tanzmesse will take place from August 28 to August 31.
Performing Arts Centre Iceland will have booth number 56 under the name Dance from Iceland, where the Centre will showcase a selection of Icelandic dance works to festival guests.
Tanzmesse attracts a diverse international audience and offers fantastic opportunities for choreographers and producers to present their dance works to international promoters, agents, and festival directors. Participants will also have the chance to connect with other dancers and choreographers from around the world.
Performing Arts Centre Iceland offers five choreographers or dance work producers based in Iceland a grant of 100,000 ISK to participate in the festival. Applicants are responsible for booking and paying for their travel and accommodation. The Centre also covers access to Tanzmesse, which includes entry to all events, lectures, and performances at the festival.
We encourage interested parties to apply before the application deadline expires on May 21 at 5:00 PM. Applications can be submitted using the Google application form HERE.
